Voneus sponsors Round House’s first canine calendar

A Walney Island café has launched its first canine calendar thanks to broadband provider Voneus.

The Round House Hub & Café’s 2025 We Love Dogs calendar features more than 300 hounds on its front cover, with a spotlight turned on 12 of the doggies for each month of the year.

Voneus sponsored the printing of the 1,000 calendars that went on sale on Wednesday, and that are already proving popular with Round House regulars who took to social media to say they’d spotted their fur baby on the front!

“I can’t wait to get ours. Spotted Maggie on the front cover,” said one resident, while another added: “Ooo spotted my baby on front cover too can you please save me one!”

Elaine Roberts, from the Round House, said: “This is our very first doggy calendar, and we are totally thrilled with it.

“It was really difficult choosing the dogs to feature inside the calendar as we have so many lovely pooches popping into our beachside café on a daily basis.

“The response to our Facebook post was overwhelming, with more than 500 photos sent to us, which led us to decide on putting as many as possible on the front cover - as well as having a back page of free doggy treat vouchers.

“We’d like to thank Voneus for supporting our community projects over the past few months, and for all the help with our 2025 calendar.”

The calendars are £5 each available from the Round House with all proceeds going towards Round House funds.

Gigabit Wireless Broadband from Voneus is available to more than 4,700 homes across Walney Island, a network build that won the award for Best Gigabit Wireless Project at this year’s UKWISPA awards.
